Most of the locals pay a visit to the Prague ZOO at least once a year. In 2002, the zoo was badly affected by floods and the workers had to deal with the biggest evacuation of animals under the extreme pressure of time. Since then, the zoo has undergone several renovations and become even more popular.
Located few kilometers from the historical center, on the bank of Vltava river, it is an ideal place to spend a day away from the touristic sights.
Apart from the public transport, you can also hop on a boat that will take you to/from the zoo. The boat ride takes 75 mins and costs aprox 160 CZK.
