Hi Matan

it realy depends when exactly you will come.
Pruhonice Park is lovely in Spring, Summer and Autumn. why? because there are a lots of trees, bushes, flowers = when they blooms, its a wonderfull picture. this period is starting to grow...
Its a larg park with 3 large tours and you need to pay for entrance (till 31.3. 50Kc/1,8Eur from 1.4. is 80Kc/3Eur).
it is a bit difficult to reach by public transport.

Sarka also a very nice place (free entrance). there are creeks, rocks in different shapes and water flowing between them, mini waterfalls and even a small canyon unfold their mystical beauty on the huge surface of Divoka Sarka (Sharka the wild).
it is reacheble by public transport very easily:
1.Metro Green line A to Dejvicka and then change to Bus 119 to “Divoka Sarka” stop.
2.Trams No. 20, 26, to the ending stop: “Divoka Sarka”.

i like both of them however I prefer DIvoka Sarka.
I can also recommend Stromovka. it is also a large park with a lot green places..

hope this help a bit.
enjoy your stay

How to reach to Šárka: isn´t better to get off from underground line at stop "Veleslavín"? 2 stops after "Dejvická". From this station it is ca 600 meter to a park Šárka.
See this map: https://mapy.cz/s/1qA9N
Also is possible from Veleslavín to take a tram (trams No.20, 26) and go only 3 stops to the final stop "Divoká Šárka"

I like some feedback re.this subject too , i am visiting 2nd week of October , spending a week , I am a nature/country-side lover and already listed these 2 places to visit . My questions are , weather permitting ,
Is it possible to rent a mountain bike to cover more areas ? Or its not the ideal terrain to cycle ?
And at what time its better to pack up ? being October i have no idea at what time its starting to get dark .
Thanks .

Průhonice is more like botany garden, Šárka is wilder!
But I would like to recommend other park - see this tip https://www.likealocalguide.com/prague/prazsky-semmering ! Take a train (S65) at main station or Smichov an get off at "Praha-Jinonice". The most nice part of ride is between station Smichov and station Jinonice, because train goes over old viaduct and between crags.
In Jinonice go to park named PROKOPSKE UDOLI (Prokop valley) and go throught this park back to Smichov;)

Man, I'd recommend to visit Czech Switzerland for at least a day. It's amazing for hiking. You'll also get amazing views!

Both are very beautiful, but they are also very different. Pruhonice it's more like an estate, while Divoka Sarka is wild :) In 5 days you have time to see both parks. I do prefer Divoka Sarka any time ;)

Google maps shows 1hour 45 mins train travel to reach Petrov , am i right ? Will be still worth to visit as a day trip considering almost 3.5 hours travelling ?

The train ride itself is not really a bad time, you're following Vltava and Sazava rivers all time. Maybe go all the way to Kamenny Privoz by train and than walk the trail in direction of the stream. Download an app Mapy.cz so that you don't get lost.
Is the trail on an unpaved path next to the river or on a street ?
