Lukas was a great host for this experience, very friendly and knowledgeable! It is about a 30km bike ride with a nice coffee break and lunch along the way. Perfect amount of rest to break up the long ride, which is for the most part flat. The castle is off the beaten path of the crowds of tourists, so it's nice to see a part of Czech you otherwise wouldn't see if you just toured around Prague.

Highlights

Bike around the beautiful 13th-century Valdštejn Castle

See the Hrubá Skála Renaissance chateau

Visit Trosky Castle, the symbol of Bohemian Paradise

Admire beautiful nature and monuments

Upon arrival, we’ll bike around the beautiful 13th-century Valdštejn Castle. Our next stop will be the Hrubá Skála Renaissance chateau, dating back to the second half of the 16th century. We’ll then visit Trosky Castle, the symbol of Bohemian Paradise.

There will be time for snacks and lunch along the way.

This was such a wonderful day. Gorgeous and interesting scenery. Wonderful lunch spot just outside Karlstejn. We really wanted to get out and experience life off the tourist trail and this was a great way to do that. Equipment was very nice. We are not any kind of serious cyclists at all (I ride my bike casually around husband rides mayne once a year. HA! so it was a little bit of a challenge for us, but worth the effort! The walk up to the castle was probably the hardest part though, in reality. But the payoff was breathtaking. Lukas was great company and very patient with us. Unforgettable and a great sense of accomplishment :) Thanks Lukas!
This experience is the best!! I had a fantastic time with Lukás. We biked for a total of about 38 km, and the whole time the views were incredible and the insights that Lukás provided along the way were fascinating. We stopped for tea and coffee about halfway to the castle, and for lunch in this small village where I had the best Czech food of my entire trip to Prague. The castle itself was beautiful, and the view of the valley from it was even more so. Luke's was so friendly and knowledgeable and I couldn't have asked for a better way to see the countryside surrounding Prague!
