Green Fairy: Absinthe Tour of Prague
Great tour to understand what happened during WWII and under Communism
Honza is an excellent guide. He is well educated, informed and thoughtful. He guided us through almost 100 years of history in an understandable and interesting manner. His stories made history come to life and made it seem more personal. We learned a lot and enjooyed our time with him. He was most generous with his time and knowledge. Excellent experience!
Prague World War II & Communism Tour
Tragedy and Triumph in the Czech Republic
We signed up for this tour not knowing quite what to expect, but we were aware of both the Nazi and Communist invasions/takeovers of Czechoslovakia and wanted to learn more. Our guide Michal provided significant and detailed information about the tragedies and heroism of the Czech people under both regimes. Facts and analysis were at Michal's fingertips and we visited places in Prague we would not have otherwise seen or even been aware of. One can read about historical incidents and get some flavor of events, but to see, for example, bullet holes in building facades, the place where the Gestapo "interviewed" prisoners, where the assassins of Hitler's top representative in Prague were betrayed and committed suicide after the Nazis overcame their defenses, and where the young Czech students immolated themselves to protest Soviet domination, brings history to life. Michal gave us almost more information than we could absorb, but he was passionate about his country's past and current history, political and otherwise. While it may not appeal to all, if you have any interest in 20th century history, this tour is a must.
Prague World War II & Communism Tour
Walk the old town with Michaela was one of the best moments of our visit to Prague. She is a very warm, friendly and a humble human being. She talked to us, told us about herself and her family and so did we share about our family and then it was like a close friend showing you her city and explaining you everything so nicely!!! She is extremely flexible, in the fact that we had already been to a spot in the tour beforehand and so we told her and she said “no problem I will take you and show you something else interesting”, that was very sweet of her! So I highly recommend a tour with Michaela to anyone who wants to know about the history of Prague and see all the important historical spots plus make a friend for life 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍
Walk The Old Town With Local Guide
In Prague, you cannot find many local tour guides. Most of the guides are foreigners. This is probably due to the English education and Czech people's reserved personality. Michaela is one of the rare locals that know a lot about the history of the country and at the same time, speak great English and are able to communicate in an international way. We talked about the ancient and recent history of Czech and Slovakia, as well as different sides of Czech society. She is a passionate storyteller and the content are organized so well that our experience is immersive. If we did not go on this tour, we will be only two dumb tourists who have seen tons of castles but know nothing about this country. It means nothing if you come to Czech but does not have a conversation with a local except for ordering food and checking in at the hotel. Also, Michaela used to lead large groups of tourist so no worries for the quality of the touristic parts.
Walk The Old Town With Local Guide
You can book this one without thinking! Michaela is a great guide and tells you all the things that are worth knowing and fun to remember. Tour ends in the park near the castle and from there it is only a few minutes walking to the castle, a nice bonus.
Walk The Old Town With Local Guide
Excellent tour
We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He seemed to have an excellent grasp of the topic and told us a lot of things we would never have been able to find out on our own. Seeing the different sites where things actually took made the tour feel very authentic. This was the best tour we had in Praha. Our guide didn't not try to rush the tour which was great. He was able to answer all of our questions. One bit of feedback we would suggest is to describe what life was like under communism for the average person. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely work with your company again. Thank you.
Prague World War II & Communism Tour
History alive.
Great story about the history the most beautiful city in Europe. The history told by the guides included the grandeur of the city's leaders and the sad history of the era of National Socialism and it's effects on peoples. The guides covered it all. One could tell they enjoyed telling people about their home or adopted city. Highly recommend.

Green fairy with Natalia
Nataly was the best of guides. She was very knowledgeable of all things Prague, not just the absinthe scene. She took me to some unique locations for an exceptional experience. I highly recommend her.
Green Fairy: Absinthe Tour of Prague
Informative and adventurous
My family and I loved the absinthe tour with Natalya - the history, the ritual and the fun! We appreciated learning how to drink absinthe properly and the lore behind the potent and beautifully bottled liquor. We learned, we tasted and we were together having fun as a family with our young adult kids- highly recommend

Flexible agenda
Great tour. But very modified from was originally presented. I wanted a completely new setup and we did agree on a new agenda, which was very informing about Check life and economy. Evove your fantacy and ask your guide to till in the blanks.
Welcome to Prague!
This experience is the best!! I had a fantastic time with Lukás. We biked for a total of about 38 km, and the whole time the views were incredible and the insights that Lukás provided along the way were fascinating. We stopped for tea and coffee about halfway to the castle, and for lunch in this small village where I had the best Czech food of my entire trip to Prague. The castle itself was beautiful, and the view of the valley from it was even more so. Luke's was so friendly and knowledgeable and I couldn't have asked for a better way to see the countryside surrounding Prague!
Bohemian Paradise: Bike Tour of the Golden Path from Prague
This was such a wonderful day. Gorgeous and interesting scenery. Wonderful lunch spot just outside Karlstejn. We really wanted to get out and experience life off the tourist trail and this was a great way to do that. Equipment was very nice. We are not any kind of serious cyclists at all (I ride my bike casually around husband rides mayne once a year. HA! so it was a little bit of a challenge for us, but worth the effort! The walk up to the castle was probably the hardest part though, in reality. But the payoff was breathtaking. Lukas was great company and very patient with us. Unforgettable and a great sense of accomplishment :) Thanks Lukas!
Bohemian Paradise: Bike Tour of the Golden Path from Prague
Lukas was a great host for this experience, very friendly and knowledgeable! It is about a 30km bike ride with a nice coffee break and lunch along the way. Perfect amount of rest to break up the long ride, which is for the most part flat. The castle is off the beaten path of the crowds of tourists, so it's nice to see a part of Czech you otherwise wouldn't see if you just toured around Prague.

Magical tour around the Green Fairy's Lairs
Wonderful tour around the absinthe bars of Prague. Natalia is a lovely and engaging guide, full of knowledge and enthusiastic about the city. It's an intimate tour and you find yourself talking about everything under the sun. Try absinthe the traditional way, the Czech way and even absinthe beer in various magical green dens across the city. Highly recommended for anyone already familiar with the green fairy or curious about trying the mystical drink.
Green Fairy: Absinthe Tour of Prague
Great Tour
We had a little trouble meeting up due to inadequate description on the voucher, but I was able to get in tough with the company and met out guide a few minutes late. And he was very gracious and personable. My wife and I basically had a private tour. Jack was our guide- and I had seen other comments raving about him and agreed with these positive comments. He has a lot of knowledge though friends and personal experience of the history of the effects of the Nazi and later Communist takeovers. The most dramatic experience was certainly the Church where the insurgents were trapped after they killed a Nazi leader. Overall. a great tour.
Prague World War II & Communism Tour
A wealth of knowledge and really fun
As it turns out I was the only person booked on the Green Fairy Absinthe tour, but Natalia was happy to show me around on my own. She had a fantastic knowledge of Prague and Absinthe and the nightlife area from a locals perspective. We got along fantastically as she is just one of those people you can talk to for ever about anything. She is more than just a great guide, I feel like I certainly made a new friend. Can highly highly recommend this tour and any of the others than Natalia hosts.

Informative and entertaining
Prague World War II & Communism Tour
Great History Tour!
Jack/Honza was our guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about communism and WWII and related events in the Czech Republic. The Butcher of Prague story was totally amazing and captivating as is his recount of the Velvet Revolution and the events occurring in Wenceslas Square. Alas, our feet were killing us from too much touring and Jack graciously sat at a coffee shop with us and finished his tour, as well as allowed us to ask our many questions. i highly recommend this tour!
