Rating 4.9 based on 61 reviews

That was wonderful!!
During the entire trip our guide Petr was a wonderful teacher and friend, took up us from train station and transfer to the river, told many interesting things about canoeing and Czech republic, teach us to drive canoe and shows amazing places on the river!
Everything was included (thanks Martin):
- transfer (in\out), even some sightseeing;
- rent a boat, lifejacket and other things;
- facilities to leave the luggage (van and dry bag)
- training and guiding;
- amazing beauty of Sazava;
- lunch in Cafe (free beer!);
- ride on the mountain train with breathtaking sights!

I'm strongly recommend to book this trip and to see this with you own eyes!
Easy Canoe Mission to the Sázava River from Prague
A fantastic day
I went to Prague with my aunt. I am 48 and she is 70. As she wasn't used to ride more 'sporty' bikes, she was at the beginning a bit afraid. Eva was our guide and she managed very well to get her at ease. She was very helpful and friendly. It was a wonderful ride along the river. The places for the coffee break (with cake :-)) and the lunch were very nice, the food was good. We got back with the train and took a little ferry. We ended the day with a drink on a boat, a very nice place and not so touristic. The pictures will tell you a lot.

Perfect day out!
Wife and I had a great time canoeing with Martin. He took us out even when it was just 2 of us (some guides would cancel). He was very patient (we were doing this for the first time) and offered good advise when needed - you get the hang of it after some practice. The river is very scenic and beautiful, would highly recommend it. Also had an awesome Czech lunch with him and he was more of a friend rather than a guide. If you wanna take a break from the city and enjoy the natural beauty, this is something you just have to do!

Highlight Experience
Martin is an awesome guide! It's more like canoeing with friends than it is with a guide. The river view is stunning and for anyone looking to enhance their trip to Prague with thrilling canoe trail, definitely book this! The river can be quite rocky, but it made for some excitement and there were no issues at all. The pick-up to drop-off made everything about this so easy and enjoyable as well. Worth the money, do yourself a favour and give it a go!

A great tour!
My husband and I had not ridden a bike in 10 years but we decided to take the bike tour to Karlstejn castle. Martin, our guide, set a pace which was easy to follow and ensured that we knew how to operate the bikes. A 16 mile ride, mostly flat with one part that is half-way up hill. No shame in walking that part and Martin made sure that no one was left behind. One has options to take a final uphill ride for a great view of the castle or continue on to the castle via a flat road. We chose the uphill and it is steep toward the end, but we made it walking. The view is worth it.

Mid-way there is a break for coffee and pastry and the tour concludes with a nice lunch (including a glass of beer or wine if you chose). We had a small group and just enjoyed the scenery and company.

Helpful Information:
Tour duration: about five-six hours. You can visit the castle if you wish. We passed as a bit OD'd on castles but it looked interesting.
Tour includes: hotel pick-up, transportation to the bikes, helmet, lunch, and train ticket back to Prague (about 35-40 minutes). Bring a bottle of water for yourself when riding.
Bike Experience/fitness: You don't forget to ride a bike. If you prefer a leisurely ride, no problem. My husband and I are in reasonable shape, walk daily, and hike. We had no problems. Check with Martin about young children and if you have health issues.
Fellow riders: We had a great group- various biking levels of experience but no problems.
Booking: In the summer and fall, I would book ahead as the tour fills up.

I give the day an A+. Thank you Martin.

Biko Adventures was one of the highlights of our Prague trip. I (in my late 20s) traveled to Prague with my parents (in their early 60s) and convinced them to do a 35 kilometer bike tour from Prague to Karlstejn Castle. Neither had been on a bike outdoors in over 15 years. I researched the different tour options available through Biko and found many options I'd be interested in, but the Karlstejn trip turned out to be the best tour for my parents as beginner riders (though a few narrow passages to navigate over bridges). Petar was our guide, and we rode along with two other couples, which was a nice-sized group. It was really great to bike through the countryside, outside of Prague, along the river and end at a beautiful and historic castle which we had to to explore. We finished off with a Czech beer and traditional meal in the town of Karlstejn. I truly recommend Biko in general, as the staff and guides were very friendly and they have a quaint little shop in Prague (which we bought graphic t-shirts from Filippo, the owner), and I especially recommend the Karlstejn tour for travelers looking for a bit of adventure, but on the more leisure side. I would definitely come back to ride with Biko!

My friend in the USA highly recommended I contact Michael to guide me and my family through the city of Prague. I emailed him before the trip to make plans.He always responds quickly and offers many excellent tours. Most importantly, we spent a full day with Michael in Prague and covered more sights than any other guide offered. His English is perfect and his historical wisdom is amazing. My college son and his friend also joined us and Michael taught them more about Prague in one day than they had learned studying there for 3 months!

We had such a wonderful and busy day with Michael that we hired him to spend another full day touring Kunta Hora.Michael made the train travel seamless and Kunta Hora is not to be missed!! I had read about it, and this was a true sidetrip highlight of our week in Prague. It was nice to leave the city for an amazing new discovery.

We only had 6 days in Prague and wanted to cover all the main sights. We are also foodies and Michael's recommendations for restaurants and evening art events were all excellent.I HIGHLY recommend Michael as a REALLY FUN AN KNOWLEDGEABLE GUIDE. I travel often and can honestly say Michael ranks as my top guide.

Well, the headline says it all! You really must take a tour with these nice people! They show you lots of places in and around Prague and the tours are for every skill levels. The number one aim for BIKO - I think - is that you should discover Prague and at the same time enjoy yourself doing it! We sure did enjoy it! We, four friends, took the park tour in November 2014 with the owner; Filippo, as our guide. What a great guy! Very friendly, likeable and knowledgeable! We couldn't ask for a better guide! And the parks where amazing! We can only imagine how nice they must be during the hot season! One last thing; BIKO invests in proper bikes so you get really good bikes! Nothing to worry about there! Actually, nothing to worry about at all! Take one of their tours - you will not regret it! We give BIKO Adventures Prague 8 out of 6 stars! :-) (yes, I can count!)
Conclusion: We highly recommend BIKO and we will certainly do this again on our next trip to Prague., either with friends and/or familiy (with small kids)!
PS. Don't forget to buy a t-shirt while you're there! They are designed by Filippo and are of great quality! Clever guy!

Private Winery Tour
We were the only 2 on our wine tour in February of the Johann W winery in NW Bohemia. We started off with a tour of the wine making facilities that are very modern. The staff was very helpful at not only answering questions about their process, but also discussing recent history with winemaking in the region and the new efforts post communism. Martin was incredibly knowledgeable not just about wine and this vineyard, but was so open with us about the long history in the region. He was able to point out cool geographic features, and landmarks like the many medieval castles. The tour also showed us a facinating Jewish cemetary which taught us about the effects of WW2 on the area. Martin mentioned other tours he has around these topics. We finished our day at a local restaurant that could support our gluten free and vegetarian diets, while specializing in traditional Czech food. Totally this experience to see the countryside and history outside of Prague.

Adventure on the river
Martin our guide called in the morning to confirm he was on the way and for the whole of the day he was a brilliant host, guide and helper. He picked us up at the hotel and off we went. The drive out of town took us through the suburbs and out to the villages around Prague. Stopping for a coffee and patisserie on the way we arrived at the river ready for the adventure down the river. After a short practice paddle we where off. And what a beautiful day we had. Paddling down stream we where soon feeling like real adventures as we steered our canoe through the flow of the water, we shared the river with ducks and herons, taking in the beautiful views as we navigated the twists and turns down stream. We even caught a glimpse of a wild piggy on the river bank. Stopping for a hearty and delicious lunch in a local village pub we got to chat about the days adventure before our trip home. A great day out we would recommend to everyone.

Awesome day on bikes in Czech countryside
We decided we needed some exercise after all the great food and beer and so we joined Martin for a Karlstejn Castle Scenic Bike Tour that our Airbnb host recommended us. What a great idea! We had an awesome day with our guide Martin touring the outskirts of Prague. The ride followed rivers most of the time so it was not just not too difficult but mainly beautiful. The best part was the last part when we arrived at an outstanding spot where the Karlstejn Castle was suddenly below us and we could see nothing but the castle and forrests all around. Finally the lunch and beer in Martin’s favourite restaurant in the village below the castle was the last piece of a mosaic to make it an unforgottable experience and the best part of our holiday in Czech. Would definately recomment Martin and his agency and we look forward to join him on canoe trip the next time we visit Prague.

Great activity and great fun
The canoe safari is very different from any other sight seeing activity we have been on previously. Our guide Martin was superb from start to finish. We were picked up from our hotel and driven to a very rural train station before boarding the train for a short journey to the river location. Martin explained everything we needed to know before we climbed into our canoe for a 15min practice session in calm water. Then we were off!!!

We had never been in a canoe before so can honestly say that if we can do it anybody can!!!

The sights along the river are amazing and the surroundings quiet and peaceful. Martin took us for a lovely lunch at the end of the activity before dropping us back at our hotel.

I highly recommend the canoe safari and the services of Martin in particular who made this a very special trip.

Wonderful vineyard visit.
We were met at the winery by Tomas and Peter and taken on a tour of the facilities. It was well orchestrated from start to finish. Only the finest equipment is used in the winery and the tasting was well presented with quality glassware. The wines were interesting and the tour of the facility ended with a wonderful film showing how the wine was made.

Then it was on to tour the vineyards with Tomas and enjoy a picnic lunch while sitting in the shade of a tree and looking at the rows and rows of vines. We were shown the different varietals and different vineyards. We had a clear definition of the growing season and Tomas explained how the workers have their own blocks of vines that they tend to for the vineyard year.

Of all our vineyard trips, this was certainly one of the best. We would highly recommend this tour.

Super Czech biking experience with Martin
When looking for a cycling tour of the Czech countryside I picked Martin's company because I hoped that a new, niche operator would provide a more personal experience than the larger operators that cater to big numbers every day.
Despite some difficulties with my schedule Martin made a special effort to make sure I got the tour I wanted.
Martin has a big passion for showing others the outdoors, away from the crowds.
I had a great day being guided around beautiful countryside, rivers and villages on a brand new bike, taking in the sights and atmosphere. Lunch and beer was welcome and tasty but for me the real delight was in cruising along quiet roads in beautiful nature having a laugh as we went.
Highly recommended

Fun, light hearted tour through the green countryside
Lucie was a great guide, and the bikes were in great condition. The route was fairly easy, and the one fairly brief challenging climb was totally optional. Along the way, it was great to see a little slice of life along the river, poppy fields, and even in late July there were a respectable concentration of wild flowers.

(The one section was "challenging" in the context of a low-key tourist route that's predominantly breezing along paved flats by the river. There is one climb and one downhill, but the route is designed to burn off a morning pastry, and develop a proper thirst for a great beer at the end, not to test your mettle.)

A nice way to get around Prague
Martin is a nice guy and the whole trip was really enjoyable. We were picked up from the hotel on time. Me and my friends were joined by 2 pairs of nice couples. The bikes were good except the seats were a little bit too firm so make sure you were a nice pair of pants. The ride was long so some demand for physical endurance.
The highlight was the lunch with good environment and good local beer. Entry to the caste was only by paid tour so we ended up not having a chance to peep inside. After riding a bike for the whole morning we did not really like to walk another hour.
Overall good trip, good guide, good ride, and good beer.
