Easy Canoe Safari on the Sázava River from Prague

From

64 EUR

After 15 years of hiking, biking, climbing, and canoeing in the greater Prague area, we discovered that this is the best adventure around. Leave the city behind and lose yourself in a deep gorge full of dense forest, dramatic rocks, and little cabins built by locals during communist times.

Description

Your guide will give you detailed instructions at the beginning of the trip, and you’ll have time to try steering the canoe on flat water before getting started.

Your guide will be there for you any time you need assistance, though it’s unlikely you’ll need help after your first few strokes of your paddle.

The journey takes about 3–5 hours, including a few little breaks to breathe in the fresh, humid air. A small lunch en route is also included.

An added bonus of this trip is the train journey to the starting point. The railway cuts through rocky terrain and across some outstanding stone viaducts. If you don’t have a head for heights, you better not lean out the window!

You don’t need any special gear for this trip. In case of very low temperatures and rainy weather, we recommend wearing a wetsuit, which we provide upon request.

Best Day of Vacation!!
Martin was an awesome guide. The river and mountains were breathtaking. Would go on this trip a hundred more times. Highly recommend!
Perfect day out!
Wife and I had a great time canoeing with Martin. He took us out even when it was just 2 of us (some guides would cancel). He was very patient (we were doing this for the first time) and offered good advise when needed - you get the hang of it after some practice. The river is very scenic and beautiful, would highly recommend it. Also had an awesome Czech lunch with him and he was more of a friend rather than a guide. If you wanna take a break from the city and enjoy the natural beauty, this is something you just have to do!

Great trip with Martin
This is the perfect trip for a day in the country outside Prague! Martin is an excellent guide. His bikes are top notch and in excellent condition. He is patient and adjusts to the strengths of his group. The ride is not difficult or too long. The scenery is beautiful along the river and through little villages. He makes time for a pastry and coffee stop - yummy. Riding into Karlstejn was so interesting. After a good lunch and cold beers, you have a time to visit the castle. Martin then provides train tickets back. A real plus on a hot day. I cannot think of a better way to spend a summer day in Prague.
Best way to spend a Sunday
We took the bike trip with Martin from Prague to Karlstejn castle. The bike ride was not difficult, though it was our first time riding a mountain bike.
The trip went along the river through small lovely villages and we even got the chance to swim in the river nearby.
After the bike ride we enjoyed local cuisine and cold beer and wandered around the Karlstejn castle.

We recomment the trip to everybody who wish to escape the city for one day.

Thank you for an excellent day, Martin!
A nice way to get around Prague
Martin is a nice guy and the whole trip was really enjoyable. We were picked up from the hotel on time. Me and my friends were joined by 2 pairs of nice couples. The bikes were good except the seats were a little bit too firm so make sure you were a nice pair of pants. The ride was long so some demand for physical endurance.
The highlight was the lunch with good environment and good local beer. Entry to the caste was only by paid tour so we ended up not having a chance to peep inside. After riding a bike for the whole morning we did not really like to walk another hour.
Overall good trip, good guide, good ride, and good beer.
