A lot of kilometres had to be ridden and a lot of beer had to be drunk in order to prepare this tour!
In the Czech Republic, bikes are a part of life in the same way that beer is. We believe that combining them is one of the best ways to spend a free day.
After picking you up from your hotel/hostel, we’ll drive for about 20 minutes to the very edge of Prague. This way we’ll avoid most of the traffic and start our journey peacefully on the great cycling paths along the Vltava and Berounka rivers.
We’ll bike on flat trails surrounded by meadows and small towns all the way to the most beautiful and best-preserved castle in the country – Karlštejn. After an hour-long break to soak up the medieval atmosphere, we’ll continue cycling for another 12 kilometres to our favourite microbrewery in the area.
At this point there won’t be any more towns, just little villages and lush countryside all around us. When we arrive in the cosy village of Všeradice, we’ll enjoy a decent late lunch and taste some locally made beer. The beer master is usually present and always happy to show us around (this isn’t a scheduled tour; he just likes to talk and we like to listen…)
