Prague behind the scenes is a wonderful company. it is a very unique company that provides very interesting hikes. The company only provides walks with small groups so there is still personal contact between the guide and the tourists. I had met with Dana (the guide) and made long walk through the old quarter, the lesser quarter (mala Strana) and part of the castle district (Hdrancy) Dana is a very friendly and social woman who knows her city very well. She showed me all kind of sights and monuments and knows a lot of interesting stories. This company is 100 times better than the mass walking tour groups walking or segway . I recommend this company to anyone who really want to discover Prague and know it’s secrets.

Description

Prague Behind The Scenes is a unique small-group tour designed for those who want to explore the city in a less-touristy way with a local. The tour covers most of Prague’s main sights and many hidden gems – the kind of places you won’t find on your own.

This isn’t a herd-style or umbrella tour. Instead, it’s a friendly walk with a real Prague local. Small group sizes (max. 4 participants) mean that you’ll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions, learn, and interact with your guide.

And you know what? You’ll have free access to a WiFi hotspot for the duration of the tour so you can post pictures online right away!

You don’t have to worry about the length of the tour – you won’t be walking the whole time. Just be aware that you’ll be doing a bit of exercise.

You’ll also stop for coffee and a light lunch at an authentic, affordable, non-touristy coffee place.

At the end of the tour you’ll receive a little gift from me as a thank you.

The tour begins in the Old Town and ends on the third courtyard of Prague Castle or in the Castle gardens.

NOTE: Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for kids/prams.
DIFFICULTY: medium (one uphill part + cobble stones)

I liked the idea of the Prague Behind the Scenes tours and in particular the fact that the tour corresponded to the title. Even if I was born in Prague I could discover many new places and see some other ones from a new point of view. The itinerary is chosen carefully to avoid places full of people (especially of those driving segway) and to combine little details that make Prague particular. The approach of the guide is pleasant, combining facts and personal experience. Wi-fi is offered, but one doesn't need it really.
This tour was fabulous.
Personal and very informative. Our guide Dana was bright and happy and went above and beyond to show us the city and teach us about Prague. I would recommend this tour as a must do on your visit to this beautiful place.
