The Improv Comedy Show in Prague

As a lover of improv comedy, I had high expectations when attending my first Blood, Love, and Rhetoric improv show. Upon entering the cozy venue (where drinking IS allowed), I was pleasantly surprised at the array of fantastical props across the stage. Seeing the Awesometer (an innovative device used to measure the vitality of laughter and applause) made me realize, before the players were even introduced, that this show was going to be lap-smacking hilarious. Was I disappointed? No. The players, with their caricatures and varying personalities, tickled my funny bones as they commandeered the props and exotic accents like any of the masters on "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Not to mention there was a nice amount of audience participation--a few of the lucky ones were even chosen to participate in a game, which just magnified the ridiculous hilarity (because let's face it, audience members always come up with stupidest ideas). Quick on their feet, quick-witted, quick to lose themselves in the sport of comedy, the players couldn't have done a better job at making me laugh. Which is why after my first show, I've returned almost every week and haven't been disappointed yet. It changes every time, so there's no reason to see the show only once! In short, this improv show gets 5 stars and a big salute from an experienced comedy show critic.
