Following a brief introduction to Prague’s history at Wenceslas Square, we’ll dive into little backstreets and passages known only by the locals. You’ll get to know the history of the New Town and the Old Town, and see the area’s most amazing sights. The Old Town Square – home to the Astronomical Clock, Týn Church and the Jewish Quarter are just a few of the places we’ll visit.
We’ll then cross the Čechův Bridge and walk to Letná Hill – a great chill-out spot adored by locals. Why is it so popular? You’ll understand as soon as we get there! Make sure your camera battery is fully charged – the views from the top are priceless.
After taking a short walk through the Royal Gardens, we’ll arrive at Prague Castle to discover its 1000-year-long history and hear stories of influential emperors who governed the empire from within its walls. As a bonus, we’ll take a quick peek at St. Vitus Cathedral.
At this point we assume everyone will be hungry and thirsty, so we’ll refuel with delicious Czech cuisine and beer at the old Strahov Monastery in the city centre. When was the last time you drank blessed beer?
Just a few steps from the Monastery is the amazing Petřín Lookout Tower, offering outstanding views of the city. Zigzagging down the hill, we’ll venture into the Lesser Town to visit the St. Nicholas Church – the greatest baroque church in Prague, as well as the John Lennon Wall.
Our final stop will be the Charles Bridge. Here, our 6–8 hour adventure will come to an end with a fresh river breeze and gorgeous views.
