Petřín is probably the most romantic area in Prague. If you are in love, there is no way you would miss a walk with your loved one there. History of this place, however, was not romantic at all. A pagan worship grove first, execution place later.
Except its famous gardens which are largest and without doubt most beautiful in Prague there are also remains of medieval wall and fortifications that protected Prague from the north and west.
There is also an outstanding amount of Christian places of interest, including famous Way of the Cross reminding the last days of Jesus Christ on his way to be crucified and resurrected right after that.
But the most popular attraction is definitely Petřín’s lookout tower, which is 60 meters tall copy of Eiffel Tower, erected in 1891 and accessible to visitors. Beside that there is also a mirror maze which you should not miss.
We will take you on tour to Petřín. Let us guide you through so you will not miss anything and will not get lost at the same time as Petřín with its hundreds of smaller and bigger paths is a maze even for locals.
