We’ll meet at the entrance of the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord, a fascinating example of 20th-century architecture. I’ll then lead you under the giant Žižkov TV Tower, one of the most controversial projects of communist Prague.
Next, we’ll walk downhill to the biggest historical cemetery in the city. We’ll then walk up to Parukařka, one of the most picturesque local parks in Prague, to admire the breathtaking view.
Afterwards, we’ll walk up Vitkov – the main hill of Žižkov and a reminder of Prague's totalitarian past. On our way up we’ll pass little-known gardens, hidden churches, underground bars, and intriguing works of modern art.
The tour ends with a walk through an unusual underground passage that leads to the Křižíkova Metro station, two stations away from the Old Town.
Please note that this tour involves a lot of walking up and down hills, and requires some physical effort. We won’t be in a hurry, though.
