This traditional and much loved pub is tucked away at the lower end of Prague's busiest shopping district (Wenceslas Square). Offering traditional Czech food and of course beer. Its location along with its menu and atmosphere makes it popular with locals and tourists alike. The prices are reasonable, the food is great and the service is fantastic.

Legend has it that this pub was bought for the wife of a world famous rope-maker who was away often. After a while boredom set in and she was rumored to have been unfaithful. Hearing about this the rope-maker returned and used one of his ropes to strangle her. A noose can be seen hanging in the bar, which is said to be haunted.
Check out the Phallic symbols that adorn the walls. Great for a cheap lunch with daily specials from 11-3pm. Next to a main Metro station.
