Why locals love it
The Limoilou neighbourhood has renewed itself greatly over the past 5-10 years, and the 3rd avenue is at the heart of it. Cheap appartements has brought many young couples and families to establish here over the years. Nice restaurants, cute shops and coffe places are now attracting people from all over the city, and a few tourists too.
Why you should visit it
The 3rd avenue is an animated street, where you will have a good time just walking around and stopping for a coffee, a little shopping or staying for dinner. Locals love this neighbourhood and you will cross paths with a lot of families that actually live here. You won’t find a lot of tourist here, although it is increasingly popular.
Special tip
The “place limouloise” at the angle of 3rd avenue and canardiere street has been built this year (2018). There’s sometimes live music and animation.
