This is a small restaurant and coffee shop located in the Galería Ecuador, a place designed to promote Ecuadorian products from all the regions. Francisco Larco is a young but creative local chef that is dedicated to research about the history of the typical food since Colonial times and the result is the recuperation of old flavors and textures.

It is recommendable to contact him for having an experience called "Little Quitenian Coffe of the 18th Century", a cooking class where Francisco is going to teach you how to prepare delicious and very old recipes. This is one of the best chances to learn about Ecuadorian gastronomy.
Do not forget to taste the "tortillas", small round and flat patties made of corn and cooked in a flat mud plate. Ask for the varieties of "ají" sauce
