The church was designed by Italian architect Marcos Guerra in 1605 and the stone facade was carved by Peter Deubler and Venancio Gandolfi in 1722. The entire temple with its golden interior was constructed in 160 years by thousands of Indians!
Check the dome from the interior and don't forget to admire the paintings of "The last judgement" and "The Hell", as well as the "Aula Magna".
