Oswaldo Guayasamín (1919-1999), born in Quito is considered as one of the masters of 20th century Ecuadorian Art. His paintings reflect the history of Ecuadorian marginal people such as the Indians, Africans and oppressed. He's a reference of local culture!

Why you should visit it
His masterpiece was the construction of the Chapel of the Mankind, an iconic building that he never could see finished. In its interior there are impressive murals about the history of Latin America and the World. You also can visit his last house and workshop.
