Mr. Jorge Rivadeneira is one of the few traditional toy makers of Quito who has preserved the making of wooden tops, very popular among local children and adults. He has been making them since more than 70 years!
Why you should visit it
This is really a very small place located in a Colonial house atop the Rocafuerte street, next to the old Prison, however, it is a honor to know Mr. Rivadeneira and his art. He uses different kind of woods to make the tops. He also has won several prizes as the best "tops' player" in town! You have to see him in action!
