Why locals love it
This is one of the most traditional hat makers family since 50 years ago. The Roman family is one of the few that decided to keep the tradition of hats making, from the UNESCO's World Heritage Panama Hats made of "toquilla" straw and felt hats or caps.

Why you should visit it
The hats known as "Panama hats" are native to Ecuador and have been designated by the UNESCO World Heritage. Even locals don't wear as much hats as they usually did before, the Equatorial sun is very strong, so, that's why to use one is necessary and also a way of supporting the tradition of hat makers.
