Why locals love it
This theater was inaugurated in 1914 as a Comedy Theater next to the National Theater that was conceived as the Opera House. The name is in honor to Ernesto Albán (1912-1984), considered as the first National Comedy actor of Ecuador ever! There is a monument in front of the theater. This is a good option to enjoy plays, camera music, or folk music.

Why you should visit it
This theater was totally refurbished by the Institute of Cultural Heritage and the Municipality and is run by the Foundation Teatro Sucre. This is an ideal excuse to enjoy the artistic scene of Quito and Ecuador!
