This palace was built by Franceso Durini between 1917 and 1936. President Baquerizo Moreno donated this terrain in order to construct a palace for oficial reunions and ball dances of the army and diplomacy. This was the most exclusive club for wealthy families until 1959. In 1980s was abandoned but totally restored in 2006.

The stone carved facade is a master piece of the Eclectic architecture in Quito. The volcanic stone was brought from Latacunga used for the facade and impressive sculptures, while the rest of the structure was made of cement. Now is open for tourists. The mirrors' room in the second floor is stunning!
Don't miss the condor in the facade.
