The town hall on the edge of the square in Rauma, built in 1776, now serves as a museum. There are lace-making items and changing exhibitions. The Old Town Hall is mainly of the Baroque type, but the basic form of the building, a two-storey town hall with a tower, is already familiar from medieval towns.
The museum has operated in the Old Town Hall since 1902. There are two 18th-century town halls in Finland, in Rauma and Porvoo.
