The city offers a great variety in food culture. Local cousine, as well as Asian and South European cousine are easy to find. As a proud fishing nation, the fish offered on restaurants are fresh and the dishes can be quite creative.

The smell will lure you in. The service is fast and friendly. It's one of the most authentic Vietnamese noodle soups you will get in Reykjavik. The price is good and the portion is decent. It's simple and amazing. It can be spicy, so be sure to let them know if that's not your thing.

I wouldn't call this nice dining. Actually there are real tables, just a counter with some chairs on it. Despite these disadvantages it's quite a tasty pizza. It's not trying to hard on the interior, as their main effort goes into creating the perfect pizza.

It offers light meals, cakes and a pretty good coffee. The outdoor terrace is on a good day one of the nicest places to hangout in downtown Reykjavík. The staff are friendly and atmosphere is quite relaxed. Overall the place is quite family friendly.

The place is classy and the atmosphere is cozy. Positioned close to the harbour, eating the burger outside on a sunny day around the fresh sea air, could be the perfect way of getting rid of a hangover.

It does have quite the delicious subs, if you don't mind the extra calories. After a long night out partying, the locals tend to stop by here for a bite before heading home.

Just to be clear - The food is great! I had my doubts when I saw the prices on the menu, as it was very cheap. The fish soup is around 1200 isk (8 euros), which is a very good deal. There was plenty of fish in the soup and the flavor was an overall delight.

If your passion in life is burger and beer, then this might be what you have been looking for. It's not the most cozy place you will find and the atmosphere isn't the most attractive one. You will, however, forget all about that after you take the first bite.

Their kebab is both tasty and cheap. I'd recommend take-away if possible, since the place itself isn't very fancy. It's a local joint and doesn't become more local than this. This ain't the best Kebab in town, but they do offer good food and big portions for a good price.

The sushi is quite cheap, yet good. They have a wide range of Nigiri, Inside-out rolls, Futomaki & Husomaki. If the place is overly packed and you want a little big more easy going atmosphere you can stroll to the coffehouse on their right hand and order from there.

They got some great kebabs and marinated meat and fish in Arabic spices. The place itself looks awful, but the food makes it worthwhile.

On a sunny day it's great to sit outside and enjoy the vibrant downtown life. The coffee is good, though I wouldn't order tea here (teabag + hot water = nahh..). It's a cozy place, though I wouldn't say this makes you feel like being in Paris.

Great way to experience the madness of competitive sports. Icelanders have their teams in England and stick with it to the end (except the Manchester City fans, we all know where they come from). The place takes up to 200 guests and often there are special offers at the bar.
