Esjan is Reykjavik's friendly neighbor - giant watching over the city. The mountain is a popular destinations for athletes, dog owners and even families. The view from the top is astonishing and worth all the effort.
Why you should visit it
It's a great way to see the city from a different perspective. The route is heavily marked and can be even crowded during weekends. It's around 780 meters high to the viewpoint and it can take around 1,5 to 2 hours to get there.
