This has to be one of the best adventures on which we went during our entire time in Iceland. If you want to see beauty, truly untouched beauty, take this tour. The guides were awesome. In our group, we had guys who had never seen an ATV before, much less rode one. We also had some who were frequent ATV riders. All of us were able to have fun without feeling bored or "out of his/her league." We went in the middle of winter, so it was very cold. But the team provides "snow suits" that are quite warm. We never had a problem with being too hot or too cold. This is one of the top three things to do in all of Iceland. Do not pass this up!!

Just beyond Reykjavík lies a stunning and dramatic natural playground – the perfect setting for some quad bike fun!

We’ll pick you up from your hotel (optional extra) and take you to our base camp just 15 minutes from the city centre. After meeting your guide and getting all the safety and operating instruction you need, it will be time to hit the road and head for the mountains.

QUAD BIKING IN THE MOUNTAINS – HOW HIGH CAN YOU GO?

This tour takes you on a route by the lovely Lake Hafravatn. Exploring a variety of fun terrains, you’ll make your way to the top of Hafrafell mountain – the high point of your journey. Breathtaking views of Reykjavík and the surrounding mountains await.

We went on the safari quads tour with Hjalmar as the guide, he gave us the safety briefing etc n then headed out! It was soo much fun, we went over a frozen lake which was kool and even had a couple of breaks n a chance to take pics of the beautiful scenery from high above. Hjalmar was really friendly, and I would defo go again with these guys! Oh also the bikes had heated handle bars which was brilliant, as it was pretty cold! I would defo recommend you do this! :-)

We booked the one hour mountain safari and met Vignir who is a great guide. He made sure that we were happy before we set off and took us to the top of the mountain in the snow. It was a fantastic trip and all the more special because of the blizzard at the top. We loved every second of it even when we got stuck and had to be rescued by Vignir. I would highly recommend this trip and this company to anyone - you will not be disappointed. We will be back soon for a longer trip!
