Why locals love it
Avotu street which is so close to the centre yet used to have not the best fame, is slowly turning better with new nice places opening up. Nurme bar opened in early 2019. It’s run by guys from Nurme brewery which is a so-called "gypsy brewery", meaning they don’t have their own brewery but they’re making beer in different partner breweries.

Why you should visit it
Here you can all Nurme’s beers in bottles and few on tap where they also offer other Latvian craft beers. Nurme has very good IPAs, sour beers and porters. If you’re a fan of fruity IPAs then you must try their Pinefruit IPA - it has a hint of nordic pines.
Special tip
The bar is located on Avotu Street, between Bruninieku and Matisa. Just look inside for the purple neon sign of hop flower.
