Isn't it great place worth visiting on Sunday? Would it be closed and no activities and performance take place on Sunday?

The market is only open on Saturdays, 10:00 to 16:00. Sometimes on Thursday evenings, when they host live music concerts.

But if Sunday is the only day when you are able to get there - I would say that it is not worth it.

They do not have market day on Sundays, only on Saturdays. And there are no other activities on Sundays.

So if you want the market - get there on any Saturday. The stuff the offer is a bit more expensive than other souvenirs or gifts, but it's really authentic, one-of-a kind, high quality, and worth it.

There are opportunities to have a meal there as well, so if you are not into souvenirs, than you could go there just to feel the atmosphere and taste local food.

The also have open-air concerts or movie-nights on week-days, but it depends on a date, so if you are interested, just check the schedule: http://kalnciemaiela.lv/en/culture-events/

Sorry, I just stay Vilnius on Thursday and Friday. How about the open kitchen that carry out in Friday, is it good.
Sorry, confused with Vilnius, there is Riga, haha. Anyway, thanks for your informative advice.
So is it Lithiania where you are going to? Kalnciema Market is in Riga, Latvia :) Try to ask locals in Vilnius!
I don't think Kalnciema Market is open on Sundays, at least according to their website. There seems to be a big fashion and design market on Saturday, I bet there is all kinds of nice activities and live music. It's definitely worth visiting. You can also take a free guided tour around the area (Āgenskalns free walking tour), in the morning.
