Hello! i'll be in Riga for work issues for 1 week in august and i don't now where i stay. I would like to relax at the beach but at the same time i would like to share experiences with locals in cafes and bars.

Jūrmala is more expensive and the cafes and bars are not really that nice, so I'd suggest staying in Riga and going to Jurmala (30 min with train) for beach and relaxing.

Hi Davide! If you are interested in one fast day or few hour tour around Riga by car we can manage that. That would be worth to spend one evening seeing all Riga with local! Your private guide Aurels :)

Hi! I actually would suggest to stay one night in Jurmala, just because you have whole week for Riga and week is completely enough and even to much just for Riga.
In case you are staying in Jurmala for while it means that you can really relax, go for a walk or longer hike, grab a vine bottle, see sunset and after that stargaze, because it usually happens un August. And don't bother about catching last train to Riga.
And actually it is just stereotype that Jurmala is more expensive than Riga. Of course there are restaurants and you can always find champagne for 100 eur, but also there are many, many "normal" cafes and places where to eat.

Check out Airbnb, you might find something good there.

Jurmala is only 30 min away from Riga by train, so I would recommend to stay in Riga and take the train whenever you feel like going to the seaside. Staying in Jurmala is more expansive than in Riga. And there are much more things to do in Riga, than in Jurmala in case of bad weather, which is also very possible knowing our notorious Latvian summer.
