Located in the building of the former house the Riga Bourse, the museum houses a beautiful collection of European art. It is mostly painting from 16th-19th century but also porcelain and silver from Europe and art from the Far and the Middle East. On the first floor there are changing exhibitions that attract a lot of visitors.

You can come here both for art and for architecture. While seeing the exhibitions, pay attention to the 19th century building inspired by the Venetian Renaissance palaces. It was opened after a restoration on 2011.
If you don't want to visit all the museum, just enter in the lobby to see the de-constructed gondola by the Russian contemporary artist Dmitry Gutov.
