A great way to see and learn more about distinctive art style of the early 20th century shocking the general public and discover Riga’s magical Art Nouveau architecture.
You will discover not only the three main streets of Riga broadly known for Art Nouveau architecture, Alberta, Strēlnieku and Elizabetes Street, but also charming spots a bit off the beaten path and often missed by hurried visitors.
We will walk to best photo spots and viewpoints showing off creations by Latvians & Baltic Germans like Laube and Pēkšēns, and most controversial of them, Mikhail Eisenstein from converted Jewish family.
A great addition will be a guided tour of Riga Art Nouveau Museum. The Museum visit lasting approx. 45 minutes introduces to visitor the authentic interior of building of 1903 beautifully decorated and tastefully renovated, complete with period furniture and bric-a-brac.
Thereafter our wonderful walk from one highlight of Riga Art Noveau heritage to another comes to an end with a short walk back to your hotel or cruise harbor.
