Description

After meeting in Riga, we’ll drive approximately 50 kilometres to the Uldevena Castle. During the drive, you'll hear the story of ancient Livonia and much more about Latvian history, us latvians any much more.

The reconstruction of Uldevena Castle is located in the town of Lielvārde, which is 3 kilometres from the actual hill where it was located in ancient times. The ruins of the medieval castle lie on top of the ancient Uldevena Castle. The stone castle was built by German crusaders in the 13th century, and was originally owned by the third Bishop of Riga.
