The Three Brothers House story
Take a tour of Old town and Art Nouveau Quarter in Riga, a city founded in 1201 and a former flourishing Hanseatic League member. During the Old Town walking tour you will learn about the centuries of medieval trading, culture and traditions of Latvia at the Baltic Sea.
Highlights of the historic town center include Three Brothers house ensemble, Dome Cathedral, Swedish Gates, St. Jacob´s Church, Town Hall and the grand House of Blackheads. The most elegant facades and architecture is observed at the Art Nouveau Quarter. Often called Venice of the North, strikingly beautiful Art Nouveau architecture in Riga makes up roughly one third of all the buildings in the center.
The tour will also take you to enjoy a guided tour of the Nouveau Museum right in the center of the famed quarter filled with opulently decorated buildings. Panoramic sightseeing drive in the city center will take you also past the Latvian National Opera, historic Riga Castle and Freedom Monument. A coffee break is included in the tour itinerary. Your tour comes to an end with a drive back to the cruise harbor or your hotel.
