Why locals love it

The hip Miera Street district has several places where you can get craft beers from local microbreweries. Opened in 2015, Walters & Grapa is one of the latest additions to the emerging craft beer scene. Here you can get also Lithuanian and Estonian beers, especially good choice from Lithuania's Dundulis.

Why you should visit it

The name of the place is inspired by famous Latvian book publishers Valters and Rapa from early 20th century. Hence the owl, symbol of wisdom, as the bar's logo. Occasionally they have DJs playing and organise record fairs.

Special tip

At present they give free salted peanuts when you buy beer. Hopefully they continue to do so also when they become popular!

As of August 2018 they have closed their location on 19 Miera St. As soon as they announce their new location, I will update it here.
