An amazing modernist building made in concrete by one the most importants Brazilian architects of the mid 20th century, Carlos Reidy, which is located 500 meters away from the heart of Rio’s business and economic center, would be a nice place for a short escape during work hours or to visit anyway.
Besides all attractions – amazing modern art exhibitions, a real important collection of works from Brazilian artists and a fine restaurant, there`s at least one more. All the surrounding gardens were planned by Burle Marx.
Before Carnival, on sundays, one of the best blocos in town, Orquestra Voadora do their rehearsals at the gardens, in front of the museum.
