Fabio showed us all the sights in Rio, and told us a lot of the history too. But he really went above and beyond for us. Sadly the day of our tour the weather was miserable - it rained all day. Fabio allowed us to split the tour over 2 days - and arranged for us to see sugar loaf and Christ a few days later once the weather had cleared up! We were so grateful that he allowed us to do this. We also enjoyed his food stops - the cafe and restaurant for lunch were superb!

Description

It is time to go see one of the seven wonders of the world: The Christ The Redeemer Statue. On top of Corcovado Hill and with a fantastic view of the Guanabara Bay the spot is a must-see attraction in Rio. After, we will go in the direction of the Montmartre of Rio de Janeiro to see special secrets of the bucolic neighboorhood. Admire the biggest street art in Rio, the fantastic Selaron Stars. After lunch in Santa Teresa, we go for a walking tour in Rio city center visiting the main churches like Metropolitan Cathedral and Sao Francisco da Penitencia. A break for a coffee in Colombo Cafe is waiting for us. After a visit to the most historic places of Rio de Janeiro we save time to enjoy a 5 star attraction. The São Bento Monastery - a fantastic and historic baroque church on a Benedictine convent.

To finish our tour we will take the world-famous cable car to the Top of Sugar Loaf to close our day with an outstanding sunset.
