The controversies of the construction Municipal Theatre, the collection of rare books of the National Library and the origin of the name Cinelandia.
We will see the beautiful Riachuelo Theater, pass in front of Cecilia Meireles´ Room and stop to know about the life and story of Jorge Selarón - the artist who built the Selarón Stairs.
One of the most famous steps of the world the Selarón Stairs has more than 200 steps with 2.000 ceramic tiles from 60 countries of the world.
We will pause to take pictures in famous Arcos da Lapa (Carioca Aqueduct) and enter in modern Metropolitan Cathedral.
We will go to Largo da Carioca and the famous Bar Luis in Carioca Street.
The tour will finish entering in Real Gabinete Português de Leitura (Libray from 1837) - only on weekdays.
