Why locals love it
Due to its location and opening hours (it close at 2 am!), this shop is a must when you’re strolling in the city centre, especially at night. They have an excellent selection of books that are definitely not mainstream. Sometimes they even have live music in their little bar downstairs.

Why you should visit it
Altroquando is an alternative bookshop unlike the typical big bookstores you find around the city. Their range covers everything from illustration, photography and pop-up to cookery, fiction and travel. Above all though, they specialise in books on film and cinema. Note that they actually have two shops facing each other on the same street.
Special tip
Most of the books are in Italian, however they do have a small range of English titles.
