This has been every Roman’s go-to place in the hot summer months for the past 100 years. We come here to chat with friends, especially at night, and refresh ourselves with typical fruit slushies. And we do have a lot of time to chat… The lines can be very long!

Why you should visit it
You’ll find the freshest typical Italian slushies (“grattachecca”) at this typical slushie kiosk run by two typical old ladies (you can call them “grattacheccare!”). Unlike classic slushies, “grattachecca” is made on the spot by grinding a big piece of ice and drenching it with syrups and fresh fruit. Order yours to-go and indulge on the street!

Try a typical Italian flavour like orzata, amarena or tamarindo.
