Musei Vaticani is one of Rome’s most precious treasures and, unsurprisingly, one of the city’s top tourist attractions. Locals only visit the museums once or twice in a lifetime, so don’t expect to meet us there. Nevertheless, Musei Vaticani and its Sistine Chapel are must-see sights when in Rome.

The museum hosts an immense collection of classical sculptures and Renaissance masterpieces. There’s even an entire room dedicated to Raphael. The Sistine Chapel is home to the world famous fresco by Michelangelo.
Expect the entrance line to be <i>very</i> long, otherwise book in advance to skip it. Free entry on the last Sunday of every month.
