Venturing underground to visit the catacombs is an experience not to be missed. With narrow alleys, chapels, stairways and arches, it’s as if you’re walking through a mini subterranean city. These early burial grounds hold huge historical and religious significance, and while they’re a little bit macabre, they’re also amazing.
