A relax getaway from the historic center of Rome
Frascati is just 30min from Rome by train, but you are transported to a serene, fresh and beautiful area. We were lucky to have Pier showing us the area in his charming Mercedes. The sights were wonderful: lake Nemi and its ships, the summer residence of the Pope, and the lazy Frascati cats. Pier brought us to a nice place to relax with some wine, cheese and bread with olive oil and black truffle. Pier is not just a guide, but like a friend showing you around when you visit.
Day Trip to the Beautiful Castelli Romani
Coppede district is really interesting, but changes is the tour organising needed
If you are interested in architecture and seeing unusual, uncrowded places, you will definitely love Coppede district! It's beauty is just jaw-opening! And thanks to Valentina- I wouldn't know about it without her. But! She was late 15 minutes and I was waiting at the meeting point in a pouring rain. Then we had to take a tram to Coppede district, tram was late because of the rain and tour actually started 40 minutes later. So the total time of tour is 40 minutes, not 1.5h. I would set a meeting point much closer to actual object of the tour and would not state it's 1,5h.
Off the Beaten Track Walking Tour in Rome
Fabio immediately transported us into the history of the Vatican and its cultural heritage. Our American guests were very impressed with the depth of his knowledge and his eagerness to share it. We are looking forward to another day exploring Rome with him and completing our education ...
Private Vatican Tour: Museums, Basilica & Sistine Chapel
Fabio (the guide) was great! We had planned a very ambitious day, and Fabio carefully listed and allocated our time perfectly. Amazing knowledge of all that we saw, and added the perfect touch of personality and honesty….not to mention energy, as he literally was willing to go the extra mile in explaining the objects and buildings that he so clearly loves. The memories of the entire day remain strong, very much due to Fabio.
Ancient Rome: Colosseum, Palatine Hill, & Roman Forum Tour
Our guide (Fabio) was a consummate professional and worked well with our small group of 3 adults. He explained everything very well, accommodated all of our questions, looked for feedback and comments, and was very accommodating of taking minor stops and starts, He had a deep understanding of the Vatican and the art inside and was able to give a rich history of the art, how it was made, and why it was significant.
Private Vatican Tour: Museums, Basilica & Sistine Chapel
Fabio made that we fall in love with Rome. Our visit wouldn't be the same without Fabio. Fabio is one of the best guides in the city. He really knows the city and loves his job. If you will be in Rome don't hesitate in stay with him.
Private Tour of Rome’s Fountains & Squares
A great day with a great guide
Our guide Pierpaolo was informative, gracious, attentive, and a great companion. He showed us the sites and shared the history of Frascati, Castel Gandolfo and Nemo. He introduced us to the locals and the shopkeepers and the Italian way of life. We cannot give him enough compliments. A must when you’re in Rome

100% recommended! / Recomendo 100%!
Very nice guy, very knowledgeable. He will show you another side of Rome: a quiet, small, cozy city. Also, many tips about local restaurants, pubs, cafes and things to do around / outside the city.

Lovely time at night in Rome under rain
It was raining on the night of our tour but Pier made us forget about the weather. Although it was not our first time in Rome Pier's stories and anecdotes made the evening special. Thank you!
Magical Tour of Rome by Night
Wonderful day trip
I had a great time touring Rome's countryside with Pier. Castelli Romani is actually an array of several very quaint and very beautiful villages that are really nearby Rome, and it's the perfect way to escape the crowded city centre and take in some fresh air and gorgeous views of mountains, lakes and villages. Pier was extremely helpful and friendly, and you can see that he is very interested in sharing his culture with people. I wholeheartedly recommend this trip!
Day Trip to the Beautiful Castelli Romani
Charming, energetic and easygoing guide
I had the best time EVER with Pier as I wanted to experience a different Rome. We were strolling late at night through unexpectedly beautiful areas which only he knows. I am a very experienced traveller and wine drinker but discovered new favorite wines and foods. We went through the small and beautiful streets of the Castelli Romani, sang Beatles songs accompanied by Pier’s guitar, local wine and local people. And just when I thought this could not get any better we ended up in this incredible funky party at the borders of the Tiber where I stayed until 5 am.. Meanwhile we discussed every possible subject, from world economics to politics, art, tourism, food, wine in French, Italian and English. So yes would definitely recommend to book one of the tours, with this charming, energetic and easygoing guide.

Magical Tour of Rome by Night
Perfect last evening in Rome!
My friend and I were visiting from London and wanted to try something new while in Rome. We decided to take the cooking class on the last night of our trip. We were greeted by Francesca's family with open arms and learnt how to make all difference flavour combinations of pizza from scratch, including how to make the perfect dough. Francesca was a great teacher and we have come away with lots of hints and tips to create the best pizza in Roma :) Me and my friend took the bus to Francesca's from the City centre and was an easy journey on public transport which was great. Thank you Francesca and your lovely family for letting us into your home and for teaching us your secrets! We will be hosting many pizza parties at home in your honour, with Italian beer of course! :) x
Mamma che PIZZA! Cooking Class & Dinner with Francesca's Family in Rome
Immersive and relax
Since it was our last day in Italy, it was the nicest way to visit those beautiful villages. Pierpaolo is nice and speaks a really good french! He will bring you in some cute alleys, throught the history of this region. At some time, we had the feeling that we were really enjoying the italian life, at its best. My mom and I totally recommand this tour.
Day Trip to the Beautiful Castelli Romani
This was a rally good way to spend half a day in Rome. Juliana was really passionate about her work, and gave us a great insight into ancient mosaic. None of us are remotely artistic, but we all managed to create something that we will treasure. Thank you
Ancient Mosaic-Making Workshop in Rome
Absolutely FANTASTIC!!!!
Words cannot express how much we appreciated what Francesca (with the help of her wonderful parents) did for a group of 16 strangers. It was like a big family party at a relative's house. The food was incredible -- from amazing cheeses, tarallini, olives and other appetizers -- to a great lasagna, chicken cacciatore in a white sauce, fabulous tiramisu, elegantly served in tea cups, after-dinner drinks, coffee, etc. But the best thing was just the hospitality and friendliness that this family showed to people who started as strangers and ended the evening feeling like a part of the family. Francesca even went so far as to line up a driver for all 16 of us, from our hotel on the other side of Rome, and make reservations for us in an enoteca for a before-dinner drink and experience. Then she gave us the name of a great pizzeria to look up the next night when we were in Trastevere. If you are in Rome, and you are thinking about whether Like A Local is a route you'd like to take, you absolutely must check out Francesca!!! Hands down one of the highlights of our two-week trip to Rome and Tuscany. Mille grazie, Francesca!!

Wonderful experience making mosaics!
Amazing session learning about the history of mosaics in Rome and the history of Studio Cassio and its connection to many famous restorations and origunal installations. Our instructor was extremely kind, helpful, fun, and enthusiastic. We had a one of a kind experience and would highly recommend it!
