Pedal on the Ancient Appian Way, a 2300 year-old cobblestone Roman road while going past an ancient sepulchre, a Roman statue, the ruins of a circus and an imperial palace, the Christian catacombs and pagan mausoleums; then leave the Ancient Appian Way to head towards the ancient Roman aqueducts rising over the fields on the horizon and follow them on their way back to Rome.
Know before you go:
-You will cover an area of approximately 27 km (16,8 miles) of which 60% Off-Road terrain.
- The elevation in this tour is 200 mt.
- Difficulty level: INTERMEDIATE
- Infants aged 1-4 years traveling on a child seat (with a load capacity of up to 55 lbs or 25 kg) come on the tour free of charge.
-For children aged 5-8 years old, a child extension (child streamliner) is provided.
-Children aged 9 and above can independently ride on an appropriately sized bike (e-bikes also available).
-We require all customers to wear a helmet (provided for free).
-A minimum of 4 participants applies (total number of participants on tour). There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are only 1, 2 or 3 passengers on the tour. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative for your tour or full refund.
- Please note that approximately 40% of the route of this tour takes place in the city. We ride carefully chosen city streets, but encountering some traffic is unavoidable to connect the Ancient Appian Way Park to the Aqueducts Park. In the remaining 60% of the route (riding in the parks) we encounter no traffic.
