We looked for something unique, not just a tour of the Colosseum and the normal stuff that everyone sees. It was the best tour we took part in. The guide was unbelievable, with knowledge that doesn't end. He is a true Roman and you can tell he loves his town. He also speaks English fluently, and it is easy to understand him. We ended the tour in the BEST caffe in rome! I would have never come across this bar without our guide! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Description

We begin the tour at 6pm at Piazza della Minerva, next to the Pantheon – where Galileo Galilei was trialled and held liable for blasphemy.

We then head towards Largo Argentina, where you’ll learn about the exact location of Julius Cesar's assassination – one of Rome's most famous crime scenes.

In the Jewish Ghetto, you’ll hear about the many atrocities that occurred during the Nazi occupation in WWII. We’ll then walk to Campo de Fiori, a popular spot for tourists, which was the site of many public executions.

You’ll be captivated by the stories your guide will share with you about these dark chapters in Rome’s history!

Criminal tour of Rome
This is a wonderful way to see parts of the City. Fiona is extremely knowledgeable, full of enthusiasm and gave us a series of real stories at various sites of political murders, ancient Roman intrigue, and high society manipulation . You will also be shown interesting bits of architecture and historical snippets along the way. It isn't so much criminals, and should maybe named Martyrs and Murders. Great fun way to see the city from a different angle.
Michele was great!
I took this tour on my last night in Rome and I think it was a really cool way to end my time in the city. Michele was my guide and he was very informative and explained the crime events that took place really well, with a lot of detail and passion. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city as it gives a different perspective of Rome. I loved every moment of it!
