Hi everybody! My name is Gianluca and I work in team with my friend Fabiano. We are CERTIFIED and qualified tour leaders. We've grown up in Rome and we are both graduated in Languages and Literature at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, with training credits in History.

We love travelling and we can show you around the Roman area and the Roman countryside, since we know very well both areas. We would really like to share our knowledge and our passion with other people from all over the world. If you want we can also take beautiful pictures for you, during our trips, and we can send you the best photos.

As a team, we provide several skills and we are looking forward to joining you in your Roman adventure!

Highlights

  • Visit the village of Nemi, with its alleys and amazing views
  • Check out Roman remains found deep in Lake Nemi
  • Taste Italian strawberries, gelato, porchetta and pasta
  • Walk along the shore of Lake Albano
  • Get to know local legends and mysteries

Description

Our first stop will be the enchanting village of Nemi with its wonderful view of the lake, which is actually the crater of an ancient volcano. You can choose to either have a walk in the village overlooking the lake or visit the Museum of Roman Ships. The museum contains Emperor Caligula's vessels found in the lake and the ruins of goddess Diana's temple.

Afterwards, we’ll head back to the village. If you’re lucky, you’ll have the chance to taste the traditional strawberries of Nemi. At this point we can also have lunch in a restaurant high above the lake.

Following lunch, we’ll make our way to Castel Galdolfo, where you can admire the breathtaking view of Lake Albano, which is much bigger than Nemi. We’ll take a nice walk by the lake and I’ll share some local stories and legends (about ghosts, suicides and so on). Fun fact: the Pope’s summer residence is located on a hill overlooking the lake.

If you’re still hungry, you can enjoy some traditional porchetta and Italian gelato.
