Being all archeologists, for the first part of the experience we will take a "time machine" together, showing you around amazing little details around the area, secret passages and hidden ruins that talk about the daily life of 2000 years of history.

We are even a big foodies and In the second part of the experience, we will taste the best of Rome starting with a an amazing espresso in one of the last “Torrefazione” (coffee roastery) of the city.

We will then jump in the smallest local market of the city center, having a Rustico (Typical Italian savory pie)just out of the oven.

Out off the beaten paths, we will taste some amazing cheeses and salami from a tiny grocery of the area.

Our day will continue with a deep fried Suppli and a round crunchy Pizza: two of Rome's best street food products.

Lovely, lovely, lovely!!!
So happy to have found this experience! The sweet treats were amazing, but the tour and all the insider information we got, was even better! This was the first thing we did while in Rome and I’m so glad, now we have a staring point and some great recommendations on things to try and places to go back and explore more. Having these guys as guides felt like we were meeting up with some old friends and catching up rather then being lead around by strangers. They are passionate and love what they are doing and it absolutely shows. We can’t wait to come back and do one of the other tours Roma Eat (check out their website) provides! Thank you so much!

I cried during the cheese a good way...
We were in Rome for 3 days this past July and decided to book this tour last minute, the morning of our tasting. Like a Local Guide was able to confirm the reservation by the afternoon. We met Stefano at a local family owned restaurant that had been a part of the family for 150 years. We started with a glass of wine and a local sparkling beverage for my mother and my sister as they were not drinking. Stefano was very knowledgable about Rome and Roman history. We went to places that I would not have gone into on my own.
My favorite part was the cheese tasting. I have a soft spot for cheese and wine in general and we went to this local cheese shop. The owners were so kind to let us come into their store. Stefano had a map of Italy and as we tasted the different cheeses, he talked about the region they came from. The owner let us try this soft blue cheese that was out of this world. Maybe it was the heat (we went during the heat wave), maybe it was the wine, maybe it was the passion with which the Stefano and the owner were discussing the cheeses, but it literally brought tears of gratitude to my eyes. An excellent way to spend the evening that I would not have been able to do on my own.

Gratitude, love, and light!
I initially missed the eve tour...but joined the morning one and I wasnt at all disappointed!! Our guide was fun and knowledgeable, the foods and coffee/ wine was amazing and the group was small so made it for a really enjoyable morning. I did this on my own and felt were welcome, there was also someone else doing it alone so good way to meet people !! highly recommended!!!
Real insight into Italian lives and Roman way of living, beautifully told history of the city in the context, delicious food and plenty of it, warm and exciting tour guide, hack and advice for life when it comes to food! Great value for money, responsible when it comes to disposable single issue plastic. Would recommend it to anyone! Loved it to bits, now I seek it in other cities.
Awesome, fulfilled tour.
I did this tour with my wife and two teenage sons and we had the best time. Ericka our host was so much fun and interesting. We ate and learnt about the foods from all regions of Italy and visited great places in Rome where we tasted cheeses, canoli, Michelin star pasta, pizza and tiramisu. And to top it all off we made a whole bunch of new friends from the USA and Israel. Do yourself a favour and book one of these unforgettable tours. Ciao to Ericka xx.
A must do
We had a lovely tour with Chiara. She knows a lot of interesting details and showed us wonderful really local places where you won't meet a lot of tourists. We tasted lovely sweets, cheeses, pasta wine and more. If you want to see and taste Rome: go with a local!
