We begin with a walk through the historic center of Naples to admire Piazza del Plebiscito, the Royal Palace, Piazza del Municipio, the Gallery of Umberto I and San Carlo Opera House.
We'll then stop for some lunch which will include traditional
Neapolitan pizza and other yummy local dishes (water and one soft drink included) before heading to Pompeii.
A knowledgeable local guide will then lead you through the famous UNESCO-listed excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, which buried and preserved it under a sea of volcanic ash for almost 1700 years, until 1748, when the site was discovered by chance during normal excavations. It's a truly fascinating place!
The tour will give you the opportunity to visit a coral and cameo factory, to admire items manufactured by a technique dating back to Ancient Greek times.
We will then take you back to Rome and drop you off in the city at a centrally located stop (three stops to choose from).
