The Orto Botanico covers an area of about 30 acres in the very heart of Rome, between Via della Lungara and Colle del Gianicolo.
It contains numerous palm specimens, a collection of conifers, bamboos, Mediterranean forest species, multiple greenhouses, a rose garden, a Mediterranean garden with aromatic plants, a Japanese garden where we can enjoy a beautiful view of the city centre, a valley of ferns, and monumental trees including sequoias and ginkgo biloba specimens.
At the end of the tour you’ll have the opportunity to visit the nearby district of Trastevere, which is known for its trattorias, bistros and historical apartments.
