Why locals love it
Vero Food is "fast food" only in the sense that you can be in and out in under five minutes. Locals love it because there are lots of alternatives to typical Italian cuisine, while also providing things that make us Italians happy: the options to indulge in lots of carbs, and, of course, coffee.
Why you should visit it
They have takeaway coffee, and, unlike most places in Rome, they also have the option of fun flavors. You'll also have a ton of options for sandwiches, soups, wraps, frozen yogurt, and fresh-squeezed juices. Head to the back for my favorite area: fresh, healthy to-go lunches, with options for vegetarians, vegans, and everything in between.
Special tip
For the fresh boxed lunches, try to go early (around 12). People rush here to scoop up the soy spaghetti with veggies and fresh salmon!
