Why locals love it
The promenade next to the 'Strom' is one of the liveliest areas of Warnemünde. There are plenty of different shops, cafés, and restaurants - something for every taste. For a really local experience, have a fish roll from one of the cutters. But watch out for the gulls - they are sophisticated in stealing your fish from the roll!

Why you should visit it
Have a nice stroll, have a look into the various shops (fashion, art, souvenirs, ...) and at the boats along the stream. If you follow the way towards the sea, you end up on the pier with one of the two piloting lighthouses. If you fancy to see all that from the water, there are many harbour tours offered along the promenade.
Special tip
Hide from the gulls under the umbrellas next to the cutters. And make sure to try the best soft ice in town from the 'Dänisches Eisparadies'.
