Why locals love it

During the 2WW Rovaniemi was heavily bombed and then burned by the German soldier troops who were posted to Lapland between 1941 - 1944. The war was lost to Russian and in the peace treaty Russia wrote ridiculous war reparations, one of them was to exile the German troops from Finland's territory.
